Updating BLOGNews... (*News music plays*)

(*News music fades out, lights turn on, camera focuses)

Good Afternoon,

Breaking news reports are coming in that there is a new blog being created by the one and only author and reporter of BLOGNews... but this blog will not be available to be viewed for some time yet.

Rumours say that Martyn Chandler is creating another blog, based on the subject of pirates, to be submitted as his assessment blog for his Develop and Use Information Literacy Skills class.

Mr Chandler's lawyer and spokesman, Mr Johann Schmidt, of Schmidt, Smith and Smith Pty. Ltd. Say that these reports are hugely exaggerated. "If my client was, in fact, creating a new blog for said assessment, he would have notified me, before the press. My client and I find it extremely insulting that you dare to assume that these outrageous reports are true," Mr Schmidt was quoted as saying, earlier today, when confronted about the blog.

It is rumoured that Mr Chandler will be explaining the origins of pirates, as well as personal profiles of famous, and infamous, seafaring folk, a history of pirating, parts of pirate ships and their uses, as well as a rather expansive section on the fictional representations of pirates, their favourite pastimes, punishments, and of course, their much loved ships.

In stark contrast to some rumours of this new blog, it seems Mr Chandler will not be focussing solely on the Battle of Trafalgar and Lord Nelson's defeat of the French and Spanish fleets, but will, in fact, include a few carefully chosen pieces of information about the timeline of pirates as well as other related nautical events happening around the globe during the piratical era.

Mr Chandler has been unavailable for comment on this topic so far, so as yet, these rumours of a new assessment blog are unconfirmed.

We can only wait, and hope that we may be able to confirm one way or another about the status of this blog.

This is Martyn Chandler, reporting for BLOGNews.

Thank you, and good night.
